Japan detects possibly Russian helicopter in airspace – report

Japan’s ground control radars have detected a helicopter in its airspace, possibly belonging to Russia, Kyodo News reported on Wednesday.

The country’s airforce has scrambled jets to escort the aircraft if the need arises, the report added.
