Johnson, Macron discuss Ukraine crisis

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron had a conversation earlier in the day about the tensions at the border between Russia and Ukraine, the former’s spokesperson said on Saturday.

“The prime minister and President Macron stressed that NATO [North Atlantic Treaty Organization] must be united in the face of Russian aggression. They agreed to continue to work together to develop a package of sanctions which would come into force immediately should Russia further invade Ukraine,” the spokesperson’s written statement said.
