Jordan denies intent to deploy troops to Gaza

Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Hussein Abdullah al-Safadi on Sunday said that Jordan has no plans to deploy troops to the Gaza Strip following the conclusion of the armed conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Speaking at the Manama Dialogue forum in Bahrain, he emphasized that Jordan concluded after discussions with allies that no Arab troops would be sent to Gaza to prevent Palestinians from viewing Arab nations as enemies.

Additionally, Al-Safadi condemned the forced eviction of Palestinians from Gaza as a “war crime” and a “direct threat” to Jordan’s national security, highlighting the humanitarian and security dimensions of the ongoing crisis.
