The head of the Lebanese government stated he had requested Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib to file a new urgent complaint against Israel with the UN Security Council.
The Council Presidency said in a statement: “Given the continuation of this Israeli aggression, the fall of martyrs and the massive destruction caused by the aggression in southern Lebanon, I consulted the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, on the situation and asked that a new urgent complaint be filed against Israel with the UN Security Council.
Prime Minister Najib Mikati said: “At a time when we insist on calm and call on all parties to engage in non-escalation, we note that the Israeli enemy persists in its aggression, which prompts us to ask the international actors involved in the initiatives concerning the measures taken to curb the enemy.
