Libya’s JMC meet in Sirte in presence of UN envoy

The Libyan 5+5 Joint Military Committee (JMC) met Thursday in Sirte in the presence of UN Special Envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily.

This meeting comes as a resumption of previous discussions to implement the full ceasefire agreement.

The meeting came after the two separate meetings of the UN envoy with members of the committee in Benghazi and Tripoli.

Bathily affirmed the commitment of the United Nations to provide technical support to JMC, and stressed the importance of unifying the security and military institutions in Libya.
