Mahmoud Abbas: Israel must be held responsible for its actions in Gaza and not a new exodus

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has transmitted a clear message to the world, demanding an immediate ending to Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. He called the aggression unforgivable and emphasised the necessity to end the violence that has caused so much suffering.

In a speech from Ramallah, Mahmoud Abbas stated: “The aggression against our people must stop. » He specifically stressed the recent bombing of the Al-Ahli Arabi hospital in Gaza by Israel, describing the attack as an “unforgivable crime”.

President Abbas likewise announced the cancellation of a summit scheduled in Amman today, which was to bring together US President Joe Biden, Jordanian King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and himself. This decision aims to protest against the ongoing Israeli aggression among the Americans.

Mahmoud Abbas called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to end this violence and to hold the Israeli government accountable for its actions. He advocated for the establishment of international protection for the Palestinian people to prevent future catastrophes.

In a determined speech, the Palestinian president reiterated the determination of his people not to suffer a new exodus and to put an end to the current escalation through peaceful negotiations. He also stressed the importance of Palestinian unity at these critical times and voiced his firm intention to confront the Israeli plan to displace the Palestinian population.
