France: Several airports evacuated following bomb threats

According to French media, six French airports were evacuated this Wednesday, October 18 after bomb threats. These are the airports of Lille, Lyon-Bron, Toulouse, Nantes, Nice, Biarritz and Beauvais.

According to Europe 1, the Minister of Transport Clément Beaune reported this Wednesday that the number of SNCF security agents will be raised by 20% due to the succession of attacks and alerts that have happened in Europe in recent days. The Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP) and the airports will furthermore be impacted by the security reinforcement plan put in place.

These alerts would be related to events in Gaza. As a reminder, on October 13, a French teacher was stabbed to death on Friday in front of a middle school in Arras by a radicalized young man who injured three other people.
