Marathon world record holder Kiptum dies in car crash

 

Kelvin Kiptum marathon world record holder, was killed along with his coach Gervais Hakizimana in a car crash in Kenya, AFP News reported, citing the Kenyan police.

Kiptum, aged 24, lost control of his vehicle, colliding with a tree. Both Kiptum and Hakizimana were declared dead on site, while the third unnamed person in the vehicle was rushed to Racecourse Hospital in Eldoret.
