As part of his visit to London to represent Tunisia at the official coronation ceremonies of King Charles III on May 5-6, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar had a meeting with members of the Tunisian community in the UK, namely representatives of Tunisian NGOs, researchers, athletes and women, professionals from the banking and financial sector, entrepreneurs, students and experts from international organizations based in London.

During the meeting, a focus was laid on the valuable role of the Tunisian community in the UK and their effort in conveying Tunisia’s voice and promoting its image.

More particularly, the minister spoke of the Tunisian expatriates’ role in  in achieving national goals, namely Tunisia’s economic progress.

“They are a source of inspiration for the new generations,” Ammar pointed out.

He underlined that Tunisia’s diplomatic and consular representations abroad “will always listen to their Tunisian nationals, particularly in times of crisis as was the case during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
