The Gaza Health Ministry has adjusted the Palestinian casualty toll upwards, reporting 1,417 dead and 6,268 wounded in Israeli attacks since Saturday.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has accused Israel of seeking to commit “genocide” in Gaza, pointing to the isolation, cutting off water and electricity, and denying entry to medicines and food. This statement joins that of Iranian President Ebrahim Raïssi, who too described the situation as genocide. The current crisis is seen as a battle by the Israelis against all Palestinians and not just against Hamas, according to Amirabdollahian.
