Qatar condemns ‘deliberate starvation’ of Palestinians

Majed Al Ansari, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, stressed on Wednesday that the “deliberate starvation” of two and a half million people in the Gaza Strip “cannot be tolerated.”

“More than one million people live in tents in the south of the Strip,” the spokesperson stressed during the press briefing, stressing that Palestinians in the enclave live in “complete absence of health and emergency services.” The ministry’s spokesperson said that Qatar has not seen “real pressure” from the international community to allow full and unconditional entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

“The air bridge started by Qatar to the Egyptian city of Al-Arish to deliver aid into Gaza has reached more than 80 planes, and the challenges of entering this aid are great and ongoing,” he added.
