Before the beginning of the 9th edition of the Arab Nations Championship, planned for February 16 to 17, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the international rugby federation published this Wednesday the men’s and women’s world rankings.
As for the men’s senior men, it ranks 48th place in the world, 7th continental and 2nd Arab after Morocco (46), the women’s is ranked 30th in the world, 1st Arab and 3rd African behind South Africa (n°13) and Kenya (23rd).
Regarding the Arab championship, 10 men’s national teams and 8 women’s teams have confirmed their participation ,according to the following composition:
Men’s tournament
Pool A: United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and Iraq;
Pool B: Tunisia, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Morocco.
Women’s tournament
Pool A: Tunisia, Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia;
Pool B: United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Libya and Lebanon.
