Russia reports record daily COVID-19 cases, deaths

Russia posted on Thursday another record in daily registered COVID-19 cases and deaths ahead of new restrictions that are set to take place in the Moscow area from next week.

The Health Ministry reported 36,339 positive cases and 1,036 coronavirus-related deaths over the previous day, adding that 25,895 recovered from the disease. Moscow continues to face the worst health situation countrywide, with nearly 7,900 cases in the latest update.
