Tunisia-Abdellatif Mekki calls on the media to stop using the term “frozen MP”

Abdellatif Mekki called on the media to stop employing the term “frozen deputy”.
“It is correct that in terms of form, the work of Parliament as an institution has been halted via a unilateral decision of the President of the Republic and in opposition with the provisions of the constitution, however, the deputies as individuals are not frozen, ”he wrote in a post on his official page.
Though on the merits, some deputies have decided to freeze themselves, because they could very well have organized parliamentary sessions and corrected the errors made by the parliament that people accuse them of, he added in the same post.
