Russian health officials announced on Saturday that there have been 890 deaths related to COVID-19 in the country in the last 24 hours, a new record high. The death toll in Russia currently stands at 209,918.
There have been 25,769 new infections since Friday’s update, the highest count since December 2020. Since the start of the pandemic, 7,586,536 coronavirus cases have been identified in Russia.
