Russia’s health authorities reported on Wednesday that over the past day the country saw 1,123 deaths due to the coronavirus, setting a new record for the second day in a row. The country’s death toll now stands at 233,898.
For the same period, the number of new coronavirus cases in the country increased by 36,582, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 8,352,601.
On the other hand, a further 29,151 people recovered from the virus, meaning that the number of recoveries is now at 7,242,735.
