Socialist Pedro Sanchez was reelected on Thursday as Prime Minister of Spain after successfully winning the vote in Congress with 179 in favor.
The result comes after weeks of intense debate and political turmoil in Spain over the deal between Sanchez and Catalan separatist parties. Popular Party leader Alberto Nuñez Feijoo, who won the July 23 general elections, had failed to win parliamentary support.
