Tebboune wants to conquer African markets including Tunisia

President of the Algerian Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, revealed on Tuesday that the year 2024 will be characterised by the creation of free zones between Algeria and five African countries, namely Mauritania, Tunisia, Libya, Mali and Niger, reports APS.

In an address delivered by videoconference, on the occasion of the 41st meeting of the Steering Committee of Heads of State and Government of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), Teboune revealed that “Algeria will experience, in 2024, the creation of free zones with sister countries, beginning with Mauritania, then the Sahel countries such as Mali and Niger, in addition to Tunisia and Libya(…) Algeria will achieve the goals of economic development and continental integration (…) The importance is to work to improve the effectiveness of economic integration processes in Africa (…)”.
