Tunisia: 1,360 business control operations in March

The municipal police conducted n March 2022, 1,360 field operations in commercial, professional or artisanal businesses in 15 municipal districts under the municipality of Tunis.
 
The head of the municipal police office, Tarek Bakir, told the TAP agency on Sunday that these interventions, carried out in coordination with the mayor of Tunis, Souad Abderrahim, are particularly tied to compliance with hygiene conditions and health protocol. Two fines of one thousand dinars each have been drawn up for pollution of public streets, in particular, throwing away remains of earth and construction materials as well as commercial waste, the police chief stated. In addition, he specified that two other fines were inflicted on two bakeries for non-compliance with hygiene conditions in the amount of 800 dinars each.
