A tourist bus carrying 43 passengers crashed off a hill Sunday morning, killing 22 local passengers and wounding 21 who were on an excursion in the Snoussi region between Ain Draham and Amdoun.
The bus was travelling from the capital Tunis to the Ain Snoussi region when it plunged into a ravine. The injured was transported to the Beja regional hospital and the Amdoun local hospital to receive the necessary care.
Official spokesperson for the Civil Protection Directorate Moez Triaa told the TAP agency that 11 ambulances and rescue vehicles of the Civil protection directorate were dispatched to the scene of the accident to rescue the injured.
