The inhabitants of Sfax appear , more than ever, to be nearing their purpose of collecting the waste piled up in the city. According to an informed source, 800 tons of garbage have been collected so far thanks to the efforts that have been made and raised by all parties concerned.
The same source confirmed that the Agareb landfill became operational again. The trucks, hence, started to empty the city’s garbage. An intense security presence was seen during the waste collection operation.
“If the collection operations continue, the city will be able to breathe again” the source adds.
After being suffocated for approximately two months because of the garbage, the inhabitants of Sfax could see their dream come true.
