The research and investigation brigade at the Ben Arous National Guard revealed this morning the detention of the individual who yesterday caused the death of an 18-year-old girl at Bir El Bel railway station a few minutes before breaking the fast. The accused acknowledged having seized the deceased’s handbag as the train was moving, which caused her death.
After learning of the girl’s death, the perpetrator escaped and hid at the home of one of his relatives. The security units likewise have to apprehend two other individuals who attempted to hide the detainee in their home. After consultation with the public prosecutor of Ben Arous, it was decided to place them in police custody and to continue the inquiry.
