Former Ennahdha member Abdellatif Mekki pointed out, on the sidelines of his participation in a solidarity protest with Ali Laarayedh, the double discourse of President Saïed in matters of economic and social issues, in particular negotiations with the IMF.
Mekki believed that the democratic heritage available to Tunisia has limited the violation of rights and freedoms by the power in place.
He condemned the cascading legal proceedings engaged against certain people on the orders of the Minister of Justice Leila Jaffel.
“The next parliament will have no power over the government and the MPs will have personal projects, ”he said.
