Tunisia-Al Karama Coalition deposits motion in Parliament to ask an apology from France to Tunisia

Al Karama Coalition Secretary-General Seif Eddine Makhlouf unveiled that his bloc has officially deposited a motion to the parliament to demand an apology from France to Tunisia for the atrocities committed during the period of colonial occupation and the looting of Tunisia wealth.

During his speech at today plenary session, he said that the discussion on the motion will take place on May 12, which marks the 139th anniversary of French occupation in Tunisia and the 56th anniversary of the agricultural evacuation.

He called the apologies as noble and would have positive impacts on relations between Tunisians and the French.
