Health Minister Ali Mrabet confirmed that Tunisia overcame the 5th wave of coronavirus, during February and March, calling on this occasion to continue to be vigilant, respect health protocols and finish the process of vaccination in expectation of a new wave of the pandemic.
He added that the mortality rate did not surpass 3% and the number of people admitted to intensive care units and those placed on artificial respirators did not currently surpass 100 patients, Mrabet also specified. The improvement in the epidemic situation is clarified by the growth in the number of people who have completed the vaccination process, the number of which is around 6 million 350 thousand people, in addition to the people who have profited from a third dose estimated at one million 200 thousand people, the TAP reports.
