Ariana has registered 85 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the number of recorded cases of the virus since the border opened on June 27 in the region to around 1,204 infections, including 1,169 local infections and 35 imported infections, according to the regional director of health of Ariana Abdellatif Jemai.
Jemai confirmed that 644 local infections were recorded last September, and 414 infections in the last 15 days, while 12 deaths were recorded.
He said the number of hospital admissions has stabilized at 4 cases, all outside of intensive care units and undergoing artificial respiration.
