Tunisia-Barometer of political distancing: 77% of Tunisians distant from parties

Tunisia Survey, an expert in online surveys and digital studies, has just revealed the latest results of its political distancing barometer. Political distancing is described by Tunisia Survey as ” A Membership or a choice that has yet to be determined regarding an existing political party. It makes it possible to be concluded following the degree of significance, proximity or the distance of citizens/voters in relation to parties in the Tunisian political scene”.

This barometer is based on several waves of self-administered online surveys.

This 20th wave which ended on December 13, 2021, maintains nearly two points the same figures as wave 19. When questioned “Which political party are you closest to?”, It appears that 77% of respondents are not close to any political party.

Remember that 79% of Tunisians were distant from politics and this for 3 waves: 17, 18 and 19. The interest of the Tunisians is world opposite from political discourse.

Politics is the contrary of discourse. Despite 06 months of national news that will remain etched in the history of modern Tunisia, the Tunisian’s interest in politics has not recovered. After 20 successive waves, the Tunisian has radically diverted his back on politics. What would it take to win him back?
