“It was Black Thursday. At the parliament, there have been terrible movements. I was on sick leave. I was informed of the terrorist attack and also of the unease suffered by the former president. This has destabilized the situation. I then felt that my presence at parliament was required given this context, “he told Mosaïque FM.
While he was dressing, Mohamed Ennaceur continues, he was contacted by the then first vice-president of the parliament, Abdelfattah Mourou. He informed him about a meeting with the presidents of the parliamentary groups. “Don’t do anything, I’ll come,” replied Ennaceur, who claimed to have discovered an abnormal situation when he arrived.
Looking back on July 25, 2019, the day the former president passed away, Mohamed Ennaceur said the news was unpredictable. “I felt great pain. I also felt a certain responsibility.
