A woman in the Beja region expressed her concern today, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, on a private radio station, reporting the disappearance of medicines intended for tuberculosis patients from the region’s dispensary for the past 18 days.
During a phone call to the radio station, the woman, who is suffering from tuberculosis, explained that she had been undergoing continuous treatment for more than two months but was unable to obtain the prescribed medicine from her physician. This situation has led to a deterioration in her health, and she highlighted that many patients, across various age groups, are facing similar difficulties.
In response, the radio station reached out to the regional health director of Beja, who initially expressed willingness to intervene and address the issue. However, he remained unreachable during the broadcast.
