Tunisia-Bizerte: 20 hectares of forest ravaged by fire

The civil protection units and the units of the national army supported by a helicopter continue their attempts to control the huge fire which broke out on Tuesday afternoon in the south of Bizerte at the level of Dar Erramel and Dar El Jenna under de la Omda du de Hicher.

The fire that was fueled by strong winds from Jebel Maksoum to Henchir Dar Erramel, extending to the area of Choubat El Akhira and Dar El Jenna over an area of more than 20 hectares, and by its arrival in a complex residential area and close to houses, causing material losses for farmers which amounted to 50 beekeepers at the start.
