The Correctional Court of the Court of First Instance of Tunis convicted, in absentia, attorney Bochra Belhaj Hmida, to six months in prison, after a complaint lodged by the former Minister of Sports, Tarek Dhiab, Mosaique FM reported.
Tarek Dhiab had filed a complaint, in 2012, with the public prosecutor, against Hmida, after a media declaration in which she accused him of corruption. The investigating judge in charge of the complaint heard the complainant and then transmitted the case to the Correctional Court which gave its verdict today.
Bochra Belhaj Hmida was sentenced to six months in prison for false charges against a public official.
