A 5-year-old boy from Bouhajla has contracted the new coronavirus, said Kairouan health director Hamdi Hadhri. The child contracted the virus from his uncle , the latter visited his sister in Aouled Achour region ( Bouhajla delegation).
A medical team went to the child’s family to take the required samples and isolate the patient. Other tests will be carried out to verify the scope of the contamination.
Moreover, four members of this family were subjected to tests yesterday. The child is the first to test positive for the virus pending the results of the other tests.
