International law professor and Kaïs Saïed campaign member Boutheina Ben Kridis told Al Chourouk that President Kais Saied will declare the name of the new prime minister this week. Ben Kridis estimated that the establishment of the transitional provisions does not necessarily mean the halt of the Constitution but rather the suspension of some articles of the Constitution with reference to the third and fourth chapters relating to the legislative and executive power.
The President of the Republic evaded dissolving Parliament since this measure would constitute a coup d’etat, however instead sought to preserve the Constitution without suspending it all together, according to her.
At the same time, she ruled out the possibility of the return of Parliament, emphasising that the President of the Republic, Kais Saied is currently moving towards the appointment of experts in constitutional law as well as the consultation of all national actors to find a solution to this political deadlock.
