Tunisia has recorded 1422 coronavirus infections and 35 new deaths from the virus on January 01, the health ministry reported on Saturday night.
Accordingly, the infection tally has hit 141.979 so far, against 4.765 deaths. Meanwhile, recoveries increased by 251 to 106,050.
1557 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalised of whom 323 are in ICU and 127 under ventilators in public and private health facilities.
