The Health Ministry announced in a press release that on September 4, 234 more infections by the coronavirus were recorded and 52 cases, already active, have tested positive. Six new deaths were also reported, taking the death tally to 93, the highest since the pandemic start. The swabs were taken from 2470 cases, 120 of whom were taken from active carriers.
The ministry indicates that since the reopening of borders on June 27, 3575 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed, including 577 imported cases, 2960 domestic (82،7%) and 43 deaths (1%).
The same source states that 66 patients are currently hospitalised (2%), 21 (0.63 %) of whom have been admitted to intensive care.
Overall, there are 2977 active carriers (82%) and 445 symptomatic patients (12.45%).
