16 more coronavirus fatalities and 640 infections from 4633 screening tests conducted on March 11 were reported, announced the Health Ministry on Friday night.
The death toll consequently reached hit 8329 while the infection tally reached 240.617 cases, including 206.863 recoveries following the recovery of 570 further persons, according to the same source.
1,085 hospitalisations were recorded on the same date, including 269 in intensive care units and 101 under ventilators in public and private health facilities.
