Tunisia-Sidi Bouzid: Closure of a center for autistic children

The governor of Sidi Bouzid, Mohamed Sedki, commanded, this Friday, March 12, 2021, the shutdown,  a centre for autistic children in the region until notice and this following news, relayed on social networks, affirming that children have been abused there.
Mosaique FM reported citing Informed sources that the governor designated a team to visit the centre to examine the case. The team is composed of the delegate from Sidi Bouzid, the regional director of social affairs, the regional delegate for women, the family, children and the elderly, the delegate for child protection, the president of the regional unit for the care of people with disabilities as well as the regional coordinator of the associations of Sidi Bouzid.
For its part, the Ministry of Social Affairs has named the regional director responsible for monitoring education centres, Raja Ben Ibrahim, to visit the centre. The latter was consequently received by the governor of the region and shared with him what she witnessed during her visit to the centre. In the same context, the governor promised that he will take adequate measures against anyone involved in this affair.
