The head of government, Hichem Mechichi decided, Tuesday January 5, 2021, to dismiss the Minister of the Interior Taoufik Charfeddine. The reasons for this dismissal were not specified by the Kasbah.
The head of government in person will thus act as interim of the Interior Department pending the appointment of a new minister.
