A source with civil protection in Ksar Helal declared that the toll of the car attack perpetrated this evening by an individual driving a car, and who deliberately drove into pedestrians, amounted to a young man from Moknine who died and four wounded. Two of them who are in grave condition was transferred to Monastir hospital.
The driver was stopped. According to eyewitnesses, he was in a state of hysteria, but not drunk. Eyewitnesses said he had every intention to kill, through his action, and that he even tried to come back to wounded pedestrians with the aim of finishing them off by crushing them.
The attack occurred, according to police sources, in the nearby town of Sayada, before the driver fled and reached Ksar Helal where he continued his action.
