After a calm of a few hours, clashes between demonstrators and National Guard units resumed at the end of the afternoon, Monday, January 18, 2021, at Ezzouhour city of Kasserine. Mosaique FM reported.
According to the media outlet, barricades have been set up and tires burned by individuals. For their part, the National Guard units employed tear gas to fight back against the stone-throwing.
Following the clashes last night, the prosecution of the Kasserine Court of First Instance authorized the arrest of 15 people, including 16-year-old children. Those arrested blocked roads and attacked the police with stones in the neighbourhoods of Cité Ezzouhour and Cité Ennour.
