Amidst the difficult economic conditions marked by a rising cost of living and high inflation rates, multiple civil society groups are stepping in to offer support to those in need on various occasions.
One such group, the “Let’s Bouchons d’amour Together Group,” has seen active participation, Dorsaf Moghaddam, shared today, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, that their initiative is personally driven. It concentrates on gathering donations to help needy families with limited incomes and orphaned children.
In a conversation with Tunisie Numerique, Moghaddam clarified that the initiative originally began with providing aid to a rural school at the start of the school year. Since then, it has grown to offer support on multiple occasions, especially aiding numerous needy individuals.
Moghaddam emphasised the group’s diverse activities tailored to various occasions. They began the month by preparing the “Ramadan Basket” and have already distributed a significant number of these aid packages. Similarly, they are organizing iftar tables throughout Ramadan.
Currently, the group has shifted its focus towards preparing for Eid clothing and collecting donations to purchase clothes and shoes for children from low-income families. Moghaddam underlined their ambition to extend aid for Eid al-Adha and other occasions, remarking that their efforts are not confined to Tunis alone but span several other regions within the Republic.
