Thirteen people are implicated in the case of the burial of a woman who passed away after contracting the coronavirus , announced spokesperson for the Court of First Instance in Bizerte, Walid Achballahh in a statement to the TAP agency.
Ten of them have been brought into custody, two are still at large and the thirteenth is on the run.
The suspects are accused of having tried, on Tuesday, to prevent the burial of a woman who died the day before from COVID-19 in the cemetery of Al Jalaa neighbourhood.
Among the offenders, is a woman who defied the burial in a video shared on social media.
Last Tuesday the police had to used tear gas to separate a crowd who gathered nearby the cemetery of the Al Jalaa neighbourhood to forcibly prevent the burial of a 76-year-old woman who died two days ago from the virus at the Habib Bougatfa University Hospital in Bizerte.
