The regional health directorate in Mahdia described the epidemiological situation in the region as quite severe, confirming 280 new cases and two deaths during the last 24 hours.
The directorate has furthermore warned that the ICU beds have reached the point of saturation and 100% occupancy at the Tahar Sfar regional hospital.
