The Covid-19 unit at the Gabès regional hospital has been vandalized by anonymous people. A hospital medical official affirmed that the equipment in the hospital’s laboratory devoted to testing for the Coronavirus has been vandalized.
A coin was withdrawn from the scanning machine and thrown in the trash, while the key to another machine was taken, with no indication of a forced entry. Technical police services intervened to investigate the incident and collect fingerprints, it was added.
It should be noted that the preliminary examination did not demonstrate the existence of attempted theft, and it is likely that the perpetrator had a copy of the laboratory key.
