Tunisia-CTN rents a second vessel

The Tunisian Navigation Company (CTN) declared on Friday that it has just rented a second RORO vessel (vessel equipped with a mobile access ramp, allowing loading/unloading of goods by towing) which can carry up to 140 trailers. The first tour of this ship was made on October 4th.

The CTN adjusted with a new stevedore in the port of Radès, to improve services and avoid any likely delay in the unloading and loading of ships.

These decisions were taken, in order to remedy several problems (delays and changes in programming), due to the shutdown of the activity of two Elissa ships (following a technical failure on October 4) and Amilcar (due to maintenance operations).

“In addition, there are climatic disturbances (strong winds and heavy rains), recently recorded in the Mediterranean region, which led to the closure of a number of ports of call to maritime traffic”, added the Company.
With these measures, the CTN ensures that it is “able to maintain the quality of its services, to provide sufficient transport capacity, to respect the schedules of ships leaving from the port of Radès and to deliver the trailers to their destination in European ports. , in time”.
At the same time, CTN invited its customers to bring their trailers into the port on time and to adopt the principle of “closing hour”.
