Tunisia- Customs seize €47,000 in cash hidden in the clothing of 2 Algerians

The Travelling Inspection Customs border office in Hazoua seized some €47,000 in cash when they stopped two Algerians aborad a vehicle with a foreign registration plate. The sum in question was hidden inside there clothes.
Customs officials speculated the behaviour of the aforementioned travellers, particularly since they insisted that they had nothing to report to the authorities when completing crossing procedures to Algeria. Authorities discovered the foreign currency after a physical search.
After consultation with the Public Prosecutor, the arrested people were maintained under probation and judicial proceedings were initiated.
