Spokesman of Medenine court of first instance Arafat Mabsout has affirmed that the public prosecution has authorized listing six returnees on search after they escaped a hotel in Djerba, where they were supposed to spend their compulsory Quarantine.
Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Mr Mabsout said that judicial records were opened under article 312 of the penal code for violating quarantine measures.
Our speaker warned of the gravity of what the aforementioned people have done, adding that they will find themselves banned from leaving for breaching the law.
He further demanded citizens arriving from abroad to respect the seven days compulsory Quarantine, pointing out that any attempts to provide false information with the intention of fleeing may expose its owner to be placed under search.
