Social media users overwhelmingly shared video footage displaying a drunken mosque official at his workplace in Jendouba.
For its part, the Ministry of Religious Affairs declared in an explanatory statement, released today on February 1, 2021, that it has initiated an internal inquiry to confirm the truth.
It added that “the executive involved has dismissed what has been attributed to him,” emphasising that the required measures will be taken in light of the results of the investigation.
