Caretaker prime minister Elyes Fakhfakh has fired more than 100 administrative executives belonging to the Ennahdha party in the past two days, a government source informed Tunisie Numérique.
According to the same source, the sacking of Ennahdha’s ministers would be much more than a “childish” response as some would have believed, but a first step to strike the arsenal of appointments undergone by the Tunisian administration since 2011.
Recalling that upon Fakhfakh resignation, Ennahdha had warned against any dismissal to be made by the Caretaker government.
