Tunisia- Ennahdha denounces the sacking of its ministers

Ennahdha movement denounced caretaker prime minister Elyes Fakhfakh dismissal of its ministers, describing this measure as “an attack on institutions and a nervous response, because of the harm it can create to the interests of citizens and the supreme interests of the country as well as the disruption of the public interest, particularly in the health sector .

In an issued press release, the party thanked its ministers for “their exceptional performance throughout the period during which they began their functions, especially in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic”.

The Ennahdha movement warned of the need for Caretaker government to abstain from flooding the administration of appointments and designations, or from carrying out dismissals to settle accounts, calling the President of the Republic to assume full responsibility for ensuring the stability of the public service by maintaining its neutralization far from any political exploitation.

On the other hand, Ennahdha thanked parliamentary blocs and the independent deputies who “took the initiative to sign the motion of no confidence and gave priority to the supreme national interest over other considerations”.
